Role: Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) Instructor
Location: Snodland Area, Kent
Start Date: April (Summer Term)
Contract: Full-time
Are you a highly experienced SEN practitioner who has mastered the art of supporting children with Autism? Perhaps you've spent years as a Senior TA, a specialist tutor, or a lead in an ASD provision, but you don't hold a formal teaching qualification (QTS).
At our school, we value your expertise over your certificates. We are looking for a "Wallaby Class" lead who understands that real impact in SEN comes from empathy, patience, and a deep knowledge of neurodiversity-not just a teaching degree.
Why Your Experience Matters Here
Our SRP is a nationally recognised centre of excellence with National Autistic Society Advanced Status. We know that the best support for our pupils comes from those who truly "get" it. We are looking for someone who:
Speaks the Language: You are confident using PECS and Makaton to unlock communication for non-verbal learners.
Knows the Tools: You have practical experience with Sensory Circuits, Emotional Literacy, and the Zones of Regulation.
Leads with Heart: You can manage a small team of HLTAs and TAs to create a calm, creative, and safe learning hub.
The Role: Leading "Wallaby Class"
This isn't just "childminding"-it is specialised instruction. You will:
Deliver a personalised, sensory-rich curriculum to a small group of pupils with ASD.
Facilitate "True Integration," helping your pupils transition between the SRP and their mainstream classrooms.
Work alongside a Lead Teacher to track progress that parents have described as "unbelievable."
Candidate Requirements
Significant SEN Experience: You must have a strong background working specifically with Autism and complex needs.
Communication Skills: Proven ability to support non-verbal or pre-verbal learners.
Collaboration: The ability to work as a peer with mainstream teaching staff and external professionals.
Note: While QTS is not required, a passion for professional development is essential.
What's In It For You?
A Professional Platform: Lead a classroom in a setting with the highest possible accreditation for autism practice.
Competitive Package: A full-time role within a supportive Trust that invests in its staff.
High Reward: Join a team where your work is celebrated by parents and colleagues alike.
Ready to step up?
If you have the experience but have been waiting for the right door to open, this is it. Apply today to make a profound difference starting this Summer term.
