Sainsbury's-one of the UK's most loved retailers-is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Clerk to join our Operational Execution, Supply Chain & Logistics team at our Haydock distribution centre.
Your challenge is to carry out a variety of day-to-day clerical tasks across our Inventory and Warehouse operations, playing a critical part in maintaining our famously 'terrifically tight team'.
Location: Haydock, St. Helens
Hours: Full-time hours totalling 40 hours weekly, distributed over 5 out of 7 days.
Schedule: Operates on a pre-established rota, and candidates must be comfortable working weekend shifts as required (approx. 5 out of 8 weekends).
Salary: £13.90

You will be a vital link in our daily operations, working across various environments (including ambient and chill/shop-floor areas) to keep things running smoothly. What You'll Do:
... - Keep Operations Moving: Support clerical duties across all operational areas, comfortably transitioning between ambient and chill/shop-floor environments.
- Customer Interaction: Act as a key point of contact for external customers daily, providing excellent service with strong, clear vocal communication.
- Team & Independent Work: Collaborate closely with a supportive team while taking full ownership of your independent tasks.
- Reporting: Report directly to the Account Specialist for day-to-day management, shift scheduling, and holiday planning.
What We're Looking For:
- Tech Savvy: Good computer literacy and comfort using digital systems.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible shift pattern on a pre-established rota (shifts are varied and not limited to 06:00-14:00).
- Weekend Availability: Comfortable working weekends as required by the business rota (approx. 5 out of 8 weekends).
- Great Communication: Confident, clear, and professional verbal communication skills.
- Positive Attitude: A motivated team player who is eager to learn.
Note: No prior experience in this specific field? No problem! Full training will be provided to get you up to speed.
