Your impact on the floor:
As a Welder/Fabricator, you are the architect of the assembly line, working rotating shift patterns. Your day will involve:
- Interpret: Master complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Shape: Mark out, cut, and shape heavy-duty steel components.
- Assemble: Use MIG welding skills to tack and secure structures with precision.
- Manoeuvre: Operate overhead cranes and specialized jigs for large-scale fabrications.
- Refine: Work to exacting tolerances where quality and safety are the only standards.
What you'll need:
- The qualification: A relevant NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding.
- The experience: A proven track record in heavy fabrication and the ability to pass a practical trade test.
- The skillset: Mastery of engineering drawings and a safety-first mindset.
