The Role
Are you a multi-skilled tradesperson who takes pride in making a genuine difference in people's lives?
We are looking for a Specialist Wet Room Fitter to join our DFG (Disabled Facilities Grant) delivery team. You won't just be fitting bathrooms; you'll be installing life-changing level-access showers (LAS) for elderly and vulnerable residents within local authority properties.
This role requires a "right-first-time" mentality, as our clients rely on these facilities for their daily independence and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Full Strip-Out: Removing baths and old suites in occupied social housing.
Specialist Drainage: Installing pumped drainage and low-profile gravity waste systems.
Level-Access Prep: Correctly installing wet-floor formers to ensure 100% water drainage.
Safety Flooring: Expert installation of cap-and-cowl non-slip vinyl flooring
Wall Finishes: Fitting hygienic wall cladding or waterproof decorative panels.
Resident Care: Working tidily and respectfully around residents who may have complex needs or mobility issues.
What We're Looking For
The "Multi-Trade" Expert: You must be proficient in plumbing, basic carpentry (for floor prep), and specialized floor/wall finishing.
DFG Experience: Previous experience working on local authority or housing association adaptation contracts is highly desirable.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years in bathroom adaptations or social housing maintenance.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent time-served).
