What We're Looking For
We're seeking an exceptional Year 1 Teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with specific experience in Year 1 being highly desirable.
Possesses a genuine passion for early years education and student development, inspiring a love for learning in young children.
Demonstrates strong classroom management skills adapted for younger learners and the ability to create an inclusive and nurturing environment.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students.
Is adept at using formative assessment to inform planning and ensure all students make excellent progress from their Reception baseline.
Your Role as a Year 1 Class Teacher
As our Year 1 Teacher, you'll be instrumental in delivering an engaging and effective curriculum tailored for our youngest primary learners. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering creative, well-structured lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all Year 1 students, aligning with the National Curriculum.
Assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents, focusing on early literacy and numeracy.
Fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued, confident, and motivated to learn through exploration and discovery.
Collaborating closely with the Key Stage 1 team and leadership to ensure consistency and high standards across the school.
Contributing to the wider school life through extracurricular activities, school events, and pastoral care for our youngest pupils.
