The Role

As our new Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils in your Year 2 class, ensuring excellent progress and attainment towards the end of Key Stage 1 assessments.
• Creating a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment where children feel valued, happy, and confident.
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly, with a strong focus on preparing pupils for SATs.
• Maintaining accurate records of pupil achievement and contributing to pupil reports.
• Collaborating effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil well-being and learning outcomes.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school events.
  Upholding the school's ethos and policies, including safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has proven experience of teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2.
• Possesses a strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and early phonics.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Is committed to continuous professional development and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
