The Role
As our new Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all pupils in your Year 2 class, ensuring excellent progress and attainment towards the end of Key Stage 1 assessments.
- Creating a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment where children feel valued, happy, and confident.
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies accordingly, with a strong focus on preparing pupils for SATs.
- Maintaining accurate records of pupil achievement and contributing to pupil reports.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil well-being and learning outcomes.

We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has proven experience of teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2.
- Possesses a strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and early phonics.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Is committed to continuous professional development and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
