Mentors and Youth Workers Required in St Helens and Knowsley!
Are you experienced in planning and delivering youth engagement programs for young people? We are looking for passionate individuals dedicated to helping a range of young people - particularly disengaged learners and those not attending mainstream education-to achieve their full potential.
We are currently recruiting for inspiring Mentors & Youth Workers who have expertise in engaging young people in the St Helens & Knowsley areas through activities such as sports, music, crafts and mentoring.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering face-to-face 1:1 or small group mentoring sessions centered around sports, music, or crafts for learners in St Helens & Knowsley.
- Planning personalised sessions that meet the individual needs of each learner, adapting activities to engage and support them.
- Building strong rapport with students to foster a positive, trusting learning environment. Assessing student progress and recording achievement levels using our internal reporting system.
What We're Looking For
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with learners with SEN, SEMH needs, or other significant barriers to education.
Specifically, we are looking for:
- Experience with students who may be disengaged or not attending mainstream education.
- The ability to plan, deliver, and assess sessions that are tailored to a student's specific level and interests.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your style to individual learning needs.
- A background in delivering engagement-style work (such as music, sports, or arts).
