Working in the Community
Randstad Education in Birmingham takes pride in supporting our local schools. We believe in adding value alongside recruiting teachers. We have been involved in sponsoring sports days and supplying sports equipment such as netball vests. We donate prizes for raffles at school fetes and host a number of competitions for each holiday period (Christmas, Easter and Summer). In December 2012 we took Santa to meet the primary school pupils in some of the Coventry schools and delivered a prize for the best Christmas picture created. We would interact with the pupils and encourage them to be creative and enter our competitions. We are enthusiastic in helping out and at Christmas always make sure we do something extra special!
We also hosted a “Good to know you” awards ceremony. The school nominated a pupil who had made a difference to others lives both in and outside of the classroom and the winner attended the ceremony on the 47 metre Tall Ship Clipper, moored in Canary Wharf. The pupils attended from all over the UK with parents and friends and were treated a tour of the ship, lunch, speeches and the awards themselves. Randstad partnered with Education Today to host this event to promote participation and good citizenship.
“I have worked for Randstad, who were previously Select Education, for over 10 years. As an NQT they have been very supportive in helping to progress my career in teaching and I have never felt the need to be with any other agency. Randstad meet my needs for both short and long term work and have given me a lot of training at no cost through Randstad themselves and the schools that I have been working at, offering me Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis. I have very regular contact with my consultants at Randstad and have a good relationship with them.”

“I worked with Randstad Education for two years as a SEN Teacher. I found them to be responsive, easy to communicate with and professional, but the biggest plus was that I was never out of work once I began working with them! The Randstad team were highly effective in marketing me to quality employers that matched my aspirations. After a long term placement I am happy to say that I now have a permanent contract with the employer that Randstad introduced me to.”
Mark Campbell – SEN Teacher was in a long term contract with us and is now in a permanent position at that school after being introduced through us (Minerva Centre) He has been working through us in a couple of long terms since 2011.
“I registered with a number of agencies when I left my permanent post, I found Randstad Education to be the best agency for me for a number of reasons. Firstly, the staff are very friendly and always happy to help, secondly Randstad Education assigned me to long term supply teaching work within weeks of registering. Thirdly, I was offered a permanent role as a Health and Social Care Teacher at a school that Randstad Education had introduced me to. I would strongly recommend anybody who is looking for work in Education to register with Randstad”
