Branch Specialities

At our West Midlands office our aim is to get the right match the first time, every time. We believe that every school is different and this is why we get to know our schools, so that we can place our candidates into the schools they will enjoy and get a rewarding experience from working there. The key for us is listening to our candidates and our schools and working together to solve your recruitment needs.  We work with teachers from newly qualified to experienced QTS. We take account the importance of the induction year and support our NQT’s in passing their induction year through long term placements with Randstad.

In Coventry and Warwickshire our main focus is on primary schools and SEN. We have primary and secondary teachers who enjoy working in this area. We introduce teachers into new schools and help them to challenge themselves with new experiences.
We cover Birmingham and Wolverhampton. Sue specialises in primary in Birmingham which covers all key stages from early years to KS2, she places both teachers and teaching assistants in work including day to day and long term placements.

We have recently secured a lot of work within the Prisons in the West Midlands. We take pride in placing the best tutors into the prisons to teach vocational courses such as construction, catering, beauty and also functional skills literacy, numeracy and ICT. This challenging yet well supported setting provides the opportunity to experience something different in a rewarding environment.

Working in the Community

Randstad Education in Birmingham takes pride in supporting our local schools. We believe in adding value alongside recruiting teachers. We have been involved in sponsoring sports days and supplying sports equipment such as netball vests. We donate prizes for raffles at school fetes and host a number of competitions for each holiday period (Christmas, Easter and Summer).  In December 2012 we took Santa to meet the primary school pupils in some of the Coventry schools and delivered a prize for the best Christmas picture created. We would interact with the pupils and encourage them to be creative and enter our competitions. We are enthusiastic in helping out and at Christmas always make sure we do something extra special!

We also hosted a “Good to know you” awards ceremony. The school nominated a pupil who had made a difference to others lives both in and outside of the classroom and the winner attended the ceremony on the 47 metre Tall Ship Clipper, moored in Canary Wharf. The pupils attended from all over the UK with parents and friends and were treated a tour of the ship, lunch, speeches and the awards themselves. Randstad partnered with Education Today to host this event to promote participation and good citizenship.

“I have worked for Randstad, who were previously Select Education, for over 10 years. As an NQT they have been very supportive in helping to progress my career in teaching and I have never felt the need to be with any other agency. Randstad meet my needs for both short and long term work and have given me a lot of training at no cost through Randstad themselves and the schools that I have been working at, offering me Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis. I have very regular contact with my consultants at Randstad and have a good relationship with them.”
Sadaf Ambreen – Supply Teacher Maths. She was in a Long term contract with us at a nice school in Birmingham last year (Ninestiles Secondary School) and is now already doing supply day to day work again this year.

“I worked with Randstad Education for two years as a SEN Teacher.  I found them to be responsive, easy to communicate with and professional, but the biggest plus was that I was never out of work once I began working with them!  The Randstad team were highly effective in marketing me to quality employers that matched my aspirations.  After a long term placement I am happy to say that I now have a permanent contract with the employer that Randstad introduced me to.”
Mark Campbell – SEN Teacher was in a long term contract with us and is now in a permanent position at that school after being introduced through us (Minerva Centre) He has been working through us in a couple of long terms since 2011.

“I registered with a number of agencies when I left my permanent post, I found Randstad Education to be the best agency for me for a number of reasons. Firstly, the staff are very friendly and  always happy to help, secondly Randstad Education assigned me to long term supply teaching work within weeks of registering. Thirdly, I was offered a permanent role as a Health and Social Care Teacher at a school that Randstad Education had introduced me to. I would strongly recommend anybody who is looking for work in Education to register with Randstad”
Zaheera Hussain- Health and Social Care Teacher in Birmingham – carried out a long term contract with us within a few weeks of registering and now has a permanent role at that school.

“I have been working with Randstad Education for over 6 months at Primary Schools in Coventry.  I have found them to be efficient, easy to communicate with and very professional.  I have been working consistently as a result of the effective marketing and hard work of the team and am now in a long term teaching post which began at the start of this school year.”
Judith Russell Brookes – carried out day to day supply work to fit with her part time requirement last school year and has just started a long term placement in a Primary school in Coventry
“I cannot recommend Randstad Education highly enough! They are excellent professionals helping us in every way and always have our best interests in mind.
Thanks to them I have worked in lots of lovely schools. For me, Emma was the "Face of Randstad Education”. She is a lovely professional and person, who always greeted me with a big smile and kind words and she was always looking for the right school for me to work in.
Marisa Piedade – Supply day to day overseas trained teacher who has done SEN Teaching and TA work for us in Coventry and Birmingham.
