Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Geography (and ideally Politics) that challenge and stretch post-16 students.
Design and implement a thoughtful, resource-rich curriculum that fosters critical thinking and intellectual independence.
Monitor, assess, and support student progress, ensuring everyone is equipped to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Provide strong pastoral care and mentorship, guiding young adults through their transition from secondary education to higher education or employment.
Collaborate willingly with departmental peers and the wider trust network to share best practices and continuous professional development (CPD).
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Documented Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, with a degree-level qualification in Geography or a closely related social science.
Characteristics: A reflective, passionate practitioner with high expectations of what young people can achieve, combined with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience: A proven track record of delivering outstanding outcomes at Key Stage 5 (A-Level). The ability or desire to teach Politics is highly advantageous.
Transport/Commute: Ability to reliably commute to the college site in Melton Mowbray.
