Admissions Officer
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £26,450 - £27,200 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM | 52-week contract

Your New Role
As the Admissions Officer, you will manage the end-to-end admissions and referral process, acting as a crucial bridge between families, local authorities, senior leadership, and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing referral documentation, including EHCPs and specialist reports.
- Coordinating assessment visits and assessment days throughout the school year.
- Managing sensitive enquiries from parents, carers, and local authority caseworkers.
- Drafting assessment reports, offer letters, and tribunal paperwork.
- Maintaining up-to-date learner records in the school's Management Information System (MIS).
- Producing admissions metrics and reporting directly to executive leadership and governance.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grades A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in administrative systems, web-based MIS tools, and ICT (Google Suite experience is advantageous).
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate delicate, emotionally charged conversations with patience and empathy.
- Experience: Previous administrative experience in an educational or specialist setting, familiarity with GDPR, and understanding of autism are highly desirable.
- Mindset: A resilient, proactive, and detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to child safeguarding.
