If so, Randstad is recruiting for an Advance Practitioner to join the Barnsley Council - This is a full-time role offering up to £37 per hour.
Here's the Role:
- Complex Casework: Managing a caseload of complex child protection, children in need, and looked after children cases, undertaking thorough assessments, developing and implementing effective plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Practice Leadership: Championing best practice in social work, providing expert advice, mentoring, and co-working with social workers and other team members on challenging cases.
- Supervision and Development: Potentially providing formal supervision and support to less experienced social workers, students, or newly qualified staff, fostering their professional development.
- Multi-Agency Working: Building and maintaining strong working relationships with a range of professionals and agencies, including schools, health services, police, and voluntary sector organisations, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to children's needs.
- Court Work: Preparing high-quality court reports and confidently representing the Local Authority in legal proceedings when required.
- Quality Assurance: Contributing to the team's quality assurance processes, including case auditing, identifying learning, and driving continuous improvement in practice standards.
- Promoting Best Outcomes: Ensuring that the voice of the child is central to all practice and that interventions are focused on achieving positive and sustainable outcomes for children and young people.
- Deputising: Providing support to the Team Manager, including deputising in their absence and contributing to the overall operational effectiveness of the team.

Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
Experience:
- Children's Social Work
