We have a fantastic Locum Advanced Practitioner Opportunity within the Family Support and Protection Service in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The local authority is transitioning to the Family Safeguarding Model, embedding multi-disciplinary teams under a unified management structure. This creates a whole-family approach to assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities:
- Working with a reduced caseload - high quality direct work
- Lead on performance and quality assurance within the team
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to Social Workers and ASYEs
- Support implementation of the Family Safeguarding model
- Deputise for the Team Manager as needed
- Engage in direct work with children and families with a reduced caseload
- Promote best practice and contribute to training and development
To be considered for the Advanced Practitioner role:
- 3+ years' experience in child protection and care proceedings
- Social Work England registration
- Proven record of timely, high-quality recording and compliance
- Experience mentoring or supporting ASYE Social Workers
- Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to improving outcomes
