The Role
Working directly alongside the Heads of Year and the wider pastoral team, you will be a visible, grounding presence in the school, helping students overcome emotional and behavioural barriers to learning.
Targeted Intervention: Run 1-on-1 and small group mentoring sessions focusing on emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and resilience.
De-escalation: Responsibly manage and diffuse challenging situations across the academy floor, utilising restorative practices.
Action Plans: Design, implement, and track tailored behaviour improvement plans for high-need students.
Parent Liaison: Build trusting, collaborative relationships with families to ensure a joined-up approach between home and school.

Proven Pastoral Experience: A solid, verifiable background working in a pastoral, behaviour support, or youth-work capacity within a secondary school setting.

Resilience & Character: A naturally calm, positive demeanour and the ability to maintain a professional, cool head under pressure.
