Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, precise, and reliable Carpenter for a 6-week contract on a commercial development in Stoke-on-Trent.
The primary focus of this role is the installation of the Rockclad Cladding System (high-durability exterior compressed rockwool panels). You will be responsible for ensuring the sub-frames, fixing systems, and cladding panels are installed to absolute specification, maintaining perfect lines and weather-tight seals.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting out and installing timber or aluminum support frameworks/sub-structures.
Accurately cutting, shaping, and installing Rockclad cladding panels.
Working to architectural drawings and manufacturer installation guidelines.
Ensuring all joint details, flashings, and fixings meet strict quality control and weatherproofing standards.
Maintaining a clean, safe working environment at height.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven track record in high-end carpentry, specifically with exterior rainscreen cladding systems (Rockclad/Rockpanel experience is highly advantageous).
Qualifications: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled or Gold Supervisor card preferred).
Tools: Must have your own full kit of professional carpentry tools (including high-quality cutting/circular saws capable of clean cuts on dense cladding materials).
PPE: Full 5-point PPE required.
Reliability: Strong work ethic, eye for detail, and the ability to hit the ground running to meet a strict 6-week project timeline.
