Requirements
- Previous experience within a catering, food preparation or kitchen environment
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and food hygiene regulations
- Good communication skills and a supportive, team-oriented approach
- Practical experience with cash handling and operating point of sale systems
- Ability to carry out physical tasks, including cleaning, stock movement and event setup
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role).
Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily setup, preparation and opening of service areas, training kitchens and dining spaces
- Support staff and learners in the safe use of kitchen equipment, supplies and stock
- Prepare food and beverages while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards
- Operate points of sale, serve customers and assist with daily financial and cash handling procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by completing daily tidying, scheduled deep cleans and waste disposal
- Help monitor stock levels, manage storage areas and set up facilities for special events
