About the Role
Randstad Social Care is seeking an experienced Children & Families Social Worker to join a dedicated, supportive team in the Highlands. This position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver impactful, child-centred interventions while enjoying flexible working patterns and comprehensive travel and accommodation support.

Key Responsibilities
- Child Protection & Safeguarding: Conduct robust risk assessments, Section 47 investigations, and child protection reviews to ensure young people's safety and well-being.
- Caseload Management: Oversee a varied caseload of children in need, looked-after children (LAAC), and families requiring statutory support.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review tailored, person-centred care plans in direct partnership with children, families, and carers.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner closely with health, education, police, and voluntary services to coordinate holistic interventions.
- Statutory Compliance & Court Work: Prepare high-quality, accurate case reports and represent the service at Children's Hearings and Court proceedings where required.
Requirements
- Professional Registration: Active registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) (or registered with Social Work England with eligibility to switch).
- Vetting: Valid membership in the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme for working with children.
- Qualifications: Recognized Degree or Diploma in Social Work (BA Hons, DipSW, MSc).
- Experience: Proven post-qualifying experience in statutory Children & Families social work in Scotland or the wider UK.
