Job Description:
Are you a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with disabilities? Join our dynamic team and contribute to providing exceptional care and support. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Children's Social Worker within our Children with Disabilities Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs and strengths of children with disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans in collaboration with the child, family, and multidisciplinary team.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children with disabilities, ensuring equal access to educational and recreational opportunities.
- Provide counseling and emotional support to children and their families, addressing the challenges associated with disabilities.
- Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to each child's care.
- Connect families with relevant resources and services, including therapy, support groups, and assistive technologies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress for each child.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration.
- Experience working with children with disabilities.
- Strong understanding of disability legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Salary and Benefits:
- Up to £30.57 per hour
- £150 expenses
