Clinical Development Lead - Cardiovascular & Metabolic Diseases (CVMD)
Location: Burgess Hill, UK (Hybrid: Up to 2 days per week on-site)

Are you a senior clinical development expert with a strong background in Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases? We are seeking a high-calibre Clinical Development Lead to join a global diagnostic leader driving innovation in early diagnosis and personalised medicine.
The Role
In this senior strategic role, you will lead complex clinical development programs for next-generation diagnostic solutions within CVMD. Operating as a trusted medical authority, you will define clinical utility, oversee large-scale studies, and drive competitive differentiation across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Clinical Strategy: Lead clinical development activities, study designs, and portfolio strategy for CVMD diagnostic programs.
- Regulatory Leadership: Partner with Global Regulatory Affairs to author critical submission packages for health authority filings globally.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the medical lead for external health authority interactions and build strategic partnerships with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), industry, and academia.
- Scientific Communication: Oversee trial communication strategies, presenting at global medical congresses and driving key scientific publications.
- Mentorship & Pipeline Support: Support intellectual property strategies, early pipeline activities, and mentor team members across the department.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Medical degree (MD) or PhD in cardiology, metabolic diseases, obesity, or a related discipline.
- Industry & Trial Experience: Proven track record in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) or Medical Devices across all stages of global clinical trials, including protocol design and report writing.
- Regulatory Standards: In-depth knowledge of international regulatory frameworks and guidelines (ICH-GCP, IVDD/IVDR, MDR, FDA, NMPA).
- Leadership: Strong cross-functional program leadership skills within complex matrix environments.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel up to 25% depending on project phases.
