Job Purpose
As a key member of a global team, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining the framework and methodologies for surveillance calibration, validation, and optimization. You will execute these framework elements to ensure robust analytics and reporting across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Calibration & Optimization (70%): Execute standards for surveillance scenario calibration and re-calibration using statistical analysis and quantitative measurements to improve alert effectiveness and efficiency
Validation Reviews: Perform effectiveness reviews of trade surveillances, assessing business specifications, regulatory/product coverage, and design implementation.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with Regional Heads of Surveillance to review quantitative outputs and overlay qualitative insights to optimize scenarios.
Reporting & Dashboards (20%): Conceive and develop surveillance metric dashboards and reporting packs for internal and external publication, focusing on performance, operational, and risk metrics.
Continuous Improvement (10%): Contribute to the maintenance of global standards and identify areas for improvement based on validation findings and key inputs.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 4-7 years of relevant experience.
Domain Expertise: Proven experience in surveillance activities for institutional sales and trading, with strong subject matter expertise in market abuse and wealth management regulatory requirements.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with industry best practices for surveillance techniques and methodologies.
Global Operations: Experience working within large, complex global organizations across multiple regions.
Education: Post-secondary education or equivalent is required
