In this role, you won't just be managing a caseload; you will be an advocate for "family-first" placements. You will work with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and close family friends who have stepped up to provide a loving home in times of crisis.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Viability Assessments: Conducting initial assessments to determine if a family placement is safe and sustainable.
Reg 24 & Form F: Completing robust, high-quality assessments for temporary and long-term fostering approval.
Special Guardianship (SGO): Guiding carers through the SGO process to ensure legal permanence for children.
Support & Supervision: Providing ongoing guidance to kinship carers to help them navigate the challenges of their new roles.

👤 About You
We are looking for a Registered Social Worker who thrives on assessment work and relationship building.
Experience: Previous experience in Fostering, Kinship, or Child Protection is essential.
Skills: Strong report writing (Form F/SGO) and the ability to present cases to panels or courts.
Values: A deep-seated belief that, where safe, children belong with their families.
Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.
