- Act as the principal staff member for client assignments
- Oversee the on-site team and allocate resources to assignments
- Ensure clients are regularly informed of assignment progress
- Provide updates to team members, clients, Directors, and Partners
- Serve as the go-to contact for clients, addressing any technical or complex aspects of assignments
- Manage and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional and personal development
- Attend face-to-face meetings with other advisors
- Lead project management for assignments, including staffing, budgeting, and scheduling
- Handle larger and higher-risk assignments
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- At least 5 years experience of Corporate Finance work
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team
- Ability to deliver high-quality reports within deadlines
- Supportive of junior staff development, both professionally and personally
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose creative and practical solutions
- Experienced in dealing with larger and higher risk assignments
- Demonstrate effective delegation skills
- Ability to advise on the key areas of a transaction, involving negotiating and providing critical advice to our client (such as working capital, net debt, price, payment structure)
- Confident advising on principal taxation issues relevant to mainstream Corporate Finance work and have sufficient knowledge to liaise with tax specialists within the firm
