About the Role:
- Conduct thorough assessments and prepare comprehensive reports for court proceedings, advocating for children's best interests.
- Attend court hearings and represent children's voices in legal proceedings.
- Work collaboratively with legal professionals, social workers, and other agencies to coordinate care and ensure positive outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior social workers, providing guidance and support in court-related work.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services within the Court Team.
- Manage a complex caseload, prioritizing urgent cases and adhering to tight deadlines.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Care England.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience working within a court setting is essential.
- Excellent assessment, report-writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and procedures relating to family court proceedings.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situations.
- Commitment to ethical practice and child-centered approaches.
