We are delighted to be recruiting proactive, adaptable Cover Supervisors to support vibrant secondary schools throughout Knowsley (L34, L35, L36). If you bring practical experience from support work, sports coaching, youth mentoring, teaching assistance, or tutoring, your ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain a positive learning environment is precisely what local schools need today.
Key Duties:
- Lead pre-planned lessons efficiently across various subjects during teacher absences.
- Deliver engaging educational content while keeping students focused and on-task.
- Maintain strong, positive behaviour management in line with school policies.
- Support student learning and foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
- Complete accurate attendance registers and report back to core teaching staff.
Requirements:
- Proven prior experience working directly with children or young people.
- High level of confidence in whole-class management and communication.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
