What We Are Looking For
We are looking for individuals who can command a classroom with presence and authority while remaining supportive of student needs.
Educational Background: A degree is highly desirable; a minimum of Level 3 qualifications and strong GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) is essential.
Confidence: The ability to manage a classroom of up to 30 students and implement the academy's behavior policy consistently.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, departments, and school leadership.
Adaptability: A flexible approach to covering various subjects across the secondary curriculum.
Commitment: A dedication to the safeguarding and welfare of all young people.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Learning: Lead classes across all subject areas, ensuring students complete the work set by the department.
Maintain Standards: Uphold the academy's high expectations for conduct and foster a quiet, productive learning atmosphere.
Departmental Support: When not covering classes, assist departments with administrative tasks, resource preparation, or small-group interventions.
Student Support: Provide guidance to students to help them understand instructions and stay motivated throughout the lesson.
