An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Customer Support Coordinator to join a leading manufacturing business based in Smethwick.
Working directly alongside the After Sales team and reporting to the After Sales Manager, you will play a central role in coordinating customer servicing, planned maintenance, warranty repairs, and new product installation schedules. This is a dynamic, hands-on administrative role in a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Service & Repair Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule customer support activities, including routine servicing, warranty repairs, and installation bookings.
- Parts & Inventory Liaison: Work closely with the internal parts department to ensure all required components and spares are dispatched ahead of scheduled engineer visits.
- Customer Communication: Act as a key point of contact for a diverse client base, offering clear updates and professional service support via phone and email.
- System Administration: Update job records in real-time, process digital job cards upon task completion, and maintain accurate customer service data.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work collaboratively across After Sales, Parts, and Service operations to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
What We Are Looking For
- Office & Customer Service Experience: Proven experience within a commercial office or customer service environment, with a strong background in handling complex customer enquiries, resolving complex customer situations and managing end-to-end service coordination (industry-specific product training will be fully provided).
- Strong IT Capabilities: Confident user of digital databases and records. Prior exposure to CRM systems such as Salesforce is advantageous, though not essential.
- Organisation & Workload Management: Excellent coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, track multiple ongoing support jobs, and organise daily tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and explain technical details clearly and concisely to customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Proactive Mindset: Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn and grow within a supportive business.
Package & Benefits
- Starting Salary: £28,000 per annum
