Location: Ammanford, Wales (Onsite)
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Schedule: Monday - Friday (44 hours p/w)

Are you a Senior Residential Childcare professional looking for a clear route to Registered Manager status?
I am currently partnering with a client to find an ambitious, resilient, and career-driven Assistant Home Manager for their established service in Ammanford. This is a "Pathway Role"-my client isn't just looking for a Deputy; they are looking for their next Registered Manager.

Unlike many Deputy roles that can feel like "more of the same," this position is designed for growth. You will work directly alongside the Registered Manager to master the operational, regulatory, and leadership side of running a high-quality home, with the full expectation that you will transition into a Registered Manager role upon completion of your Level 5.
The Day-to-Day:
Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will be a visible leader within the home:
Lead & Mentor: Managing the senior and care team, overseeing rotas, and providing high-quality supervision and coaching.
Clinical & Care Excellence: Overseeing care plans for young people (ages 8-17) with complex needs, including trauma-related behaviours and sensory disabilities.
Compliance: Ensuring the home remains "inspection-ready" by adhering to the Statement of Purpose and all regulatory requirements.
Direct Support: You remain part of the staffing ratio, leading by example on the floor to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered.
What my client is looking for:
Experience: At least 3 years in residential childcare or assisted living (Essential).
Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 QCF Residential Childcare (Essential). If you have your Level 5 already, that's a huge plus!
Technical Knowledge: A strong grip on the Care Act, Safeguarding, and Medication Administration.
The "Right" Attitude: You need to be trauma-informed, resilient, and passionate about empowering young people to reach their potential.
Logistics: A full UK Driving Licence is required for this role.

£37,000 per annum
Monday to Friday schedule (providing great stability)
