What You'll Be Doing (The Role):
This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive introduction to the digital marketing landscape. You will gain hands-on experience and contribute to our digital success by:
- Monitoring daily sales and creating reports on eCommerce activity, focusing on key KPIs such as UPT, AOV, Customer Reviews, User Experience, Site Speed, and Performance.
- Developing and implementing ethical external link-building strategies.
- Creating a cycle of weekly and monthly SEO website audits and reports.
- Monitoring organic traffic growth and developing keyword optimization and on-page content optimization to increase organic traffic.
- Conducting competitor monitoring (organic traffic, pricing, products, performance, UX).
- Working alongside the digital marketing manager to liaise with supporting digital marketing agencies for various development and research work.
- Potentially producing digital graphics and content using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest industry/platform trends, including Google algorithm changes.
- Supporting day-to-day website maintenance and updates.
- Adding new products to the website using our content management system.
- Proactively encouraging online ordering throughout the business, liaising with field sales reps to encourage existing trade account customers to use our online ordering platform.
- Gaining hands-on experience with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), content creation and editing using Content Management Systems (CMS), and utilising Google tools like Analytics, Search Console, and Merchant Center.
- Working with platforms such as SFDC and Pardot, and using tools like SEMRush for digital insights and competitor analysis.
- Being involved in e-commerce activities, including product listings and optimization for increased traffic and sales, and interacting with Algolia, our AI search function.
