About the Role
Randstad Education is thrilled to partner with a technology-focused Alternative Provision in Rochdale to recruit a part time inspiring Digital Media SEN Teacher. This is a deeply rewarding role where you will make a tangible difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN).
You will work with small groups (4-5 pupils), and initially in 1:1 or 1:2 settings, delivering a unique and engaging media curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Teach film-making, coding, video editing, and content creation to SEN students.
Re-ignite students' passion for learning by fostering technology skills and promoting positive peer interaction.
Discover each student's unique interests to contribute to their broader educational development.
Collaborate with school staff to design 6-12 week Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) tailored to each child.
Utilise the school's high-quality equipment, including green screens, MacBooks, cameras, and editing software, with the option to bring your own.
Shadow experienced educators initially to build relationships and understand the curriculum before leading your own sessions.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
Experience teaching digital media, coding, or creative technology.
Experience supporting SEN students.
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Creative, patient, and passionate about empowering students through technology.
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
