The Role: Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher
We are seeking an innovative and dedicated EYFS Teacher to take on the exciting challenge of nurturing either a Nursery or Reception class. This role is crucial for establishing excellent foundational skills and attitudes towards learning. You will be responsible for designing and delivering an inspirational learning experience, ensuring that every child is happy, safe, and making accelerated progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS).

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and manage an exciting, well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning environment that stimulates all seven areas of learning.
- Effectively implement and review the EYFS curriculum through a balance of direct teaching and high-quality, continuous provision.
- Carry out precise and insightful observations of children's play and interactions to inform planning and individual next steps.
- Rigorously track and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records to demonstrate progress and identify necessary support.
- Develop strong relationships with key workers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to each child's needs.
- Lead on the planning and delivery of effective phonics and early mathematics instruction tailored to the stage of development.
- Ensure all safeguarding and welfare procedures are meticulously followed, putting the well-being of the children first.
- Contribute actively to whole-school life and engage positively with all staff and school initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant, recent experience teaching in a Nursery or Reception setting.
- A comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the EYFS Framework and effective assessment practices (e.g., using Tapestry, etc.).
- Proven ability to create and sustain an enabling environment that promotes sustained shared thinking and child agency.
- An educator who is flexible, reflective, and highly skilled in using quality interactions to progress learning.
- Exceptional behaviour management skills rooted in positive relationships and understanding the needs of young children.
- Commitment to inclusive practice, ensuring all pupils, including those with SEND, are supported to achieve their full potential.
- A team player who brings energy, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to the EYFS team.
