Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled, technically sound Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team on an elite contract located at the iconic Crown Estate on Regent Street.
In this critical engineering role, your primary focus is keeping the building's sophisticated environmental and critical infrastructure operating flawlessly. You will oversee all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems, acting proactively to maintain plant stability while delivering top-tier Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive troubleshooting, and emergency breakdown care.
Key Responsibilities
- System Operations & Fault Finding: Monitor and optimise internal environmental conditions via the building's BMS interface. Showcase excellent technical fault-finding capabilities across critical assets including Air Conditioning units, Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), Generators, and Low Voltage (LV) distribution networks using diagnostic graphical readouts and incoming alarm streams.PPM & Reactive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance cycles to strict site task sche
- dules and asset databases. Swiftly attend to building-wide reactive issues, expanding your care to out-of-hours concessionary store requests and minor fabric repairs.
- Safety & Compliance Ownership: Confidently operate the client and company Permit to Work (PTW) platform. Constantly check the functionality of the Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols, compose Method Statements and Risk Assessments (RAMS), and ensure the team outputs robust dynamic risk assessments and near-miss documentation.
- Sub-Contractor Management: Serve as the on-site supervisor for specialised third-party vendors. Oversee their safety compliance, evaluate performance against contracts, and administer rigorous work approvals.
- Asset & Administration Management: Efficiently manage site material resources, detailing exact part requisitions and work schedule estimations to minimise equipment down-time. Close out work tasks daily on the Computer Based Maintenance System (CAFM) with accurate reporting data, keeping the contract administrator up to date.
- Collaboration & Presentation: Work fluidly within a collaborative team structure while displaying standard corporate imagery-always correctly executing health and safety guidelines, wearing designated uniforms, utilising correct PPE, and ensuring all plant rooms remain secure, clean, and orderly.
What We Are Looking For
To match the premium standard required by the client, you must satisfy the following criteria:
- 18th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations Certification.
- City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent NVQ) in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical principles and Building Services Maintenance.
- A verified Standard DBS check issued within the last 12 months.
- The technical background needed to successfully complete the BGIS Electrical Bias Technical Assessment prior to on boarding
