Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in both English and Social Science subjects across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential for KS5 teaching).
Foster critical thinking, strong analytical skills, and a love for reading and societal inquiry.
Create an inclusive, structured, and high-achieving classroom environment.
Design innovative lesson plans that bridge the gap between literacy and understanding global communities.
Track student progress effectively, using data to implement supportive interventions where needed.
About You
We want an educator who doesn't just teach curriculum content, but teaches students how to think, question, and articulate their ideas with confidence.
To excel in this role, you will need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
A relevant degree (English, Sociology, History, Politics, or a related Social Science field) with the confidence to teach across both departments.
Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
