We are currently mapping out our September staffing, featuring two distinct pathways to suit your lifestyle. For total flexibility, our ad-hoc supply roles offer £120 - £140 per day with zero planning or marking stress-ideal for teachers looking to stay active in the classroom without the extra workload. If you prefer stability from the start of the term, our long-term placements pay £150 - £220 per day. These contract and maternity cover roles allow you to fully immerse yourself in a department, taking on planning and curriculum development while earning a premium rate for your specialist expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-impact English Language and Literature lessons that foster critical analysis and strong literacy skills.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress with clear, constructive feedback aligned to school standards.
Cultivate a vibrant, well-managed classroom environment where high standards of behaviour are the norm.
Collaborate efficiently with Blackpool department heads on schemes of work, resources, and student updates.
Maintain complete professionalism, keeping safeguarding and student welfare at the center of your work.
What You Bring to the Team
Full UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) paired with a degree in English or a related field.
Proven experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
Strong adaptability to pick up existing schemes of work and build rapport with pupils quickly.
An inspiring classroom presence and proven behavior management techniques.
A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one before September).
