- Ad-Hoc Supply Cover (£120 - £140 per day): Enjoy total freedom without the stress of extra hours! Work is fully provided for you-no planning or preparation needed. You simply deliver the pre-set lessons, maintain classroom standards, and complete marking before leaving. Ideal for maintaining your teaching status with zero take-home work.
- Long-Term Contract & Maternity Cover (£150 - £220 per day): For specialists seeking a stable, full-scale teaching post. These roles involve full planning, marking, and wider departmental responsibilities, offering a higher daily rate that reflects your expert contribution to student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons that support and challenge all learners.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress with constructive feedback aligned to school standards.
- Cultivate a dynamic classroom environment while maintaining strong, positive behavior management.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson handovers, shared resources, and student progress updates.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community while adhering to all school policies.
Requirements
- Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English.
- Proven experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
- Ability to quickly adapt to existing schemes of work and build rapport with students.
- An inspiring classroom presence with excellent behavioral management skills.
- An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
