The Role: Making a Lasting Impact in English Education
This long-term position is crucial to maintaining the quality and continuity of student education throughout the academic year. You will take full ownership of planning, preparing, and delivering outstanding English lessons, contributing to a vibrant, inclusive, and challenging learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
Plan & Deliver: Create engaging lessons in English Language and English Literature, ensuring all students are effectively supported across KS3 and KS4.
Assess & Progress: Monitor and report on student development, providing clear feedback that aligns with GCSE standards.
Classroom Culture: Cultivate a dynamic learning environment, maintaining high standards of behavior and achievement.
Collaborate: Work closely with a well-established English department to share resources and track student success.
Requirements
Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English.
Proven experience teaching English up to KS4 (GCSE).
The commitment and drive to undertake a long-term teaching post.
A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
