We are seeking a dedicated Qualified English Teacher (QTS) to join a dynamic Secondary School in the Bromley-By-Bow area. Your Responsibilities
- Curriculum Excellence: Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential for A-Level teaching for the right candidate.
- Literacy Leadership: Champion a "reading for pleasure" culture and implement strategies to boost students' vocabulary and confidence in written expression.
- Exam Performance: Prepare Year 11 students for their GCSEs (AQA/Edexcel), using data to target interventions and push every student toward their personal best.
- Inclusive Practice: Differentiate lessons effectively for a diverse classroom, including high numbers of EAL students, ensuring the curriculum is accessible yet challenging.
- Creative Engagement: Bring texts to life through innovative teaching methods, classroom debates, and links to contemporary issues relevant to East London life.
- Faculty Collaboration: Contribute to a high-energy English department, sharing resources and engaging in collaborative marking and moderation.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in English Literature, Language, or a related field.
