About the Role
Randstad Education is currently recruiting detail-oriented and reliable Exam Invigilators to support a reputable secondary school in Witham during upcoming assessment and examination periods.
This is an excellent flexible role for individuals seeking part-time or ad-hoc work, including retired professionals, postgraduate students, or individuals looking to gain experience in a secondary education environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup of examination rooms, ensuring strict compliance with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations.
- Admit students into the exam hall quietly and efficiently, confirming attendance and correct seating arrangements.
- Distribute and collect examination papers and materials securely.
- Monitor the examination hall actively to ensure silence, prevent cheating, and address student queries in line with regulations.
- Provide support for pupils with special educational needs or access arrangements (e.g., acting as a reader or scribe where required).
Requirements
- High attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality.
- Strong communication skills and a confident, professional presence.
- Ability to remain calm, vigilant, and supportive under timed classroom conditions.
- Prior invigilation or school experience is preferred but not essential (full training provided).
- An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one through Randstad).
