RoleRole & Responsibilities
As an EYFS Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the daily operations of the nursery and contributing to a positive learning environment for young children. You will assist in creating engaging activities, providing a safe and caring atmosphere, and supporting the overall development of the children in your care.
Main tasks include
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS curriculum activities.
- Support children's learning and development through play-based experiences.
- Ensure a safe, hygienic, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Provide care and support to children, responding to their individual needs.
- Collaborate effectively with nursery staff to achieve shared goals.
- Maintain accurate records as required.
- Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the updated service.
- Must have the full right to work in the UK.
- Previous experience in childcare or a similar role is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of EYFS principles and practices is beneficial.
- A flexible approach to working hours, available for day-to-day and long-term full-time assignments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for early years education and child development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting young learners.
