Job Title: Fabric Engineer
Location: Static Landmark Site, City of London Contract: Monday - Friday, Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £34,000 per annum + Overtime Opportunities
Are you an experienced Fabric Engineer looking for a stable, static role at one of London's most iconic buildings?
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Fabric Engineer to join our dedicated on-site maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at a prestigious, landmark site in the heart of the City of London on a secure, tenant-only contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all fabric and building services.
Carry out a range of general building maintenance tasks including, but not limited to:
Basic plumbing (e.g., fixing leaks, unblocking drains, tap changes).
Basic carpentry (e.g., door/lock repairs, furniture assembly, minor repairs).
Painting and decorating touch-ups.
Tiling and flooring repairs.
General repairs to the building's interior and exterior fabric.
Conduct regular building walk-arounds to identify and rectify any potential issues.
Liaise with tenants and the on-site management team to ensure a high level of customer service.
Escort and supervise sub-contractors when required, ensuring they adhere to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- A proven track record as an all-round Fabric Engineer or Maintenance Technician in a commercial or corporate environment.
- A formal qualification in a relevant trade (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry, Plumbing, or a related discipline) would be an advantage.
