Job Title: Fabric Engineer/Painter & Decorator
Location: Static Landmark Site, City of London
Contract: Monday - Friday, Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Overtime Opportunities
Are you a skilled Painter & Decorator seeking a stable, permanent role at one of London's most iconic buildings?
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our dedicated on-site maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your decorating expertise at a prestigious, landmark site in the heart of the City of London. You will be responsible for ensuring the building's interior and common areas are maintained to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out high-quality painting and decorating work, including surface preparation (sanding, filling, priming), finishing, and detailed touch-ups.
Manage planned redecoration projects as well as reactive painting repairs.
Conduct regular building inspections to identify areas requiring redecoration or fabric repair.
Perform a range of general building fabric maintenance tasks as needed, including:
Minor carpentry (e.g., door/lock adjustments).
Basic plumbing (e.g., fixing minor leaks, tap changes).
Tiling and flooring repairs.
Liaise with the on-site management team and tenants to ensure work is completed with minimal disruption and to a high level of customer satisfaction.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Escort and supervise specialist sub-contractors when required.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator, ideally within a commercial, corporate, or high-end residential environment.
A formal qualification in Painting and Decorating (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3) is highly desirable.
