About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager for a 12-month contract to oversee the total facilities management of a prestigious commercial office block in the heart of Oxford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and hands-on professional to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all tenants and visitors. You will be the primary point of contact for all facilities-related matters, responsible for both strategic planning and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing all hard and soft facilities management services, including cleaning, security, waste management, and landscaping.
Managing and monitoring all mechanical and electrical (M&E) planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and reactive works.
Ensuring strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including conducting risk assessments, fire safety checks, and water hygiene (Legionella) management.
Liaising with tenants to address any issues promptly and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Managing third-party contractors and suppliers, from procurement and negotiation to performance reviews.
Controlling the facilities budget, authorising expenditure, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Conducting regular building inspections to ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards.
Managing small-scale office moves, fit-outs, and minor projects as required.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated Facilities Manager with a proven track record in a corporate or multi-tenanted office environment. You will possess:
Demonstrable experience in a similar Facilities Manager role.
Strong knowledge of building services (M&E) and statutory compliance.
Excellent contractor and budget management skills.
A recognised health and safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH is highly desirable).
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
