About the Role:
As an Ad Hoc Family Support Worker, you will provide flexible and responsive support to families facing various challenges. This role involves working directly with families in their homes and communities, offering practical and emotional assistance to promote well-being and positive outcomes for children and young people. You will be an integral part of a supportive team, working collaboratively to empower families and help them build resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to families, children, and young people in their homes and communities.
- Assist with the implementation of family support plans, focusing on identified needs and goals.
- Offer practical help, guidance, and emotional support to parents and carers.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated support.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to assessments and reviews.
- Be flexible and adaptable to meet the varying needs of families on an ad hoc basis.
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Experienced in working with children, young people, and families in a support capacity.
- Knowledgeable about child development, safeguarding, and family dynamics.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Resilient, empathetic, and committed to promoting positive change.
- Hold a relevant qualification in social care, childcare, or a related field (desirable).
- Have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Hold a enhanced dbs on the update service
