Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates for emerging crane technologies developed by Sales, Product Management, and Design.
Provide general costing support to the Sales team.
Assist in the development and maintenance of financial status reports for crane contracts, from award through to shipment.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of cost configurators for LCC products as part of a broader, group-wide initiative.
Support the continuous improvement of costing methodologies and processes.
Help deliver:
Preliminary cost estimates (budgets) for new crane contracts.
Production cost projections for new cranes, to support sales tender offers.
Cost estimates for optional technical features to be included in sales tenders.
Financial reviews of crane contracts, analyzing cost overruns by comparing actual costs to initial estimates.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Diploma or Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Willingness and ability to learn about container crane design.
Experience with cost analysis for large-scale electromechanical engineering projects (preferred but not essential).
Understanding of the relationship between engineering design and production costs, ideally with experience in crane manufacturing or a related field.
Ability to interpret technical specifications (structural, electromechanical, and automation) to determine cost requirements.
High aptitude for learning, especially in the use of IT tools such as ERP systems and databases for cost calculations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
