Are you a qualified secondary teacher looking for flexible work that fits around your life, without the evening burden of planning and marking? We are seeking reliable, engaging Secondary Cover Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to support a network of secondary schools across Bristol on a day-to-day supply basis. This is an ideal role for experienced teachers wanting to step back from the demands of a permanent timetable, or ECTs keen to gain wide classroom exposure across different school settings.
What the Role Involves:- Delivering pre-set work across key stages (KS3 and KS4) in a variety of subjects.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies to maintain a positive, productive learning environment.
- Ensuring the safety and safeguarding of all students during the school day.
- Leaving clear, concise handover notes for regular classroom teachers at the end of the day.
- Enjoying a role with no planning, no marking, and no extra-curricular commitments; when the bell rings at 3:30 PM, your workday is complete.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are welcome to apply).
- Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- High adaptability and confidence stepping into unfamiliar classrooms and subjects.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one).
- Right to work in the UK and verifiable professional references covering the last two years.
- Daily Rate: £130 - £160/day, paid weekly via PAYE.
- Work-Life Balance: Standard 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM hours with zero take-home work.
- Complete Flexibility: Choose the days you want to work each week via our online portal.
- Local Placements: Opportunities matched to your preferred travel radius within Bristol.
- Dedicated Support: Ongoing guidance from a specialist Bristol secondary education consultant.
- Location: Bristol and surrounding areas
- Contract Type: Supply / Temporary / Flexible
- Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
