The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and well-qualified German Subject Specialist to join our MFL faculty on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for inspiring students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will have a deep understanding of the current GCSE curriculum and the pedagogical skills to help every student achieve their full potential, whether they are discovering the language for the first time or aiming for top grades at GCSE.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging German lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Plan and prepare differentiated lessons that cater to a wide range of learning abilities.
Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare pupils thoroughly for GCSE examinations.
Contribute positively to the wider MFL department, including curriculum development and extra-curricular language clubs or cultural trips.
Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment in line with the school's behaviour policy.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
Expertise: A true German subject specialist with a degree in German or a related discipline, and native or near-native fluency.
Experience: Proven experience teaching German up to KS4 within a UK secondary school setting.
Right to Work: Must already hold the permanent right to work in the UK. Please note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
