Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm (Full-time hours)
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundworks Labourer to join a major ongoing infrastructure project on the Severn Bridge / Newport site starting immediately.
You will be assisting groundworkers and civil engineering teams with site prep, drainage, trial holes, and general site maintenance. Candidates holding a Banksman / Vehicle Marshaller ticket will be at a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting groundworkers with trenching, ducting, and general ground maintenance.
- Directing site traffic, machinery, and plant movements safely (if holding a Banksman ticket).
- Keeping site routes, access points, and working areas clear and safe.
- Assisting with materials handling and general site labouring duties.
Requirements & Criteria
- CSCS Card: Active CSCS card is essential.
- PPE: Full Orange High-Vis (top and trousers) + Safety Boots and Hard Hat.
- Tickets: A valid Banksman / Vehicle Marshaller ticket (CPCS/NPORS) is highly desirable and advantageous.
- Experience: Background working on groundworks, civil engineering, or highways infrastructure projects.
- Reliability: Punctual, physically fit, and able to commit to standard site hours (7:30am start).
