The successful candidate will lead a specialist team, drive strategic development, and deliver exceptional outcomes for students with diverse and complex needs.

Strategic Leadership and Vision: Steering the school's long-term vision, ensuring it aligns with the trust's broader mission of providing outstanding specialist education.
Curriculum and Standards: Overseeing the development of a robust and innovative curriculum that is both challenging and accessible, promoting academic rigor and life skills.
Team Leadership and Development: Mentoring and empowering a dedicated team of educators, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivating strong, impactful relationships with the trust, local authorities, parents, and the wider community to secure the best resources and support for students.
Resource Management: Exercising astute financial and operational management to ensure the school's sustainability and success.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a seasoned educational leader with a distinguished track record. The ideal candidate will possess:
Substantial senior leadership experience within an alternative provision or a specialist educational setting.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong record of school improvement.
A sophisticated understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and the specific challenges faced by students in AP settings.
Exceptional strategic thinking and the ability to translate vision into concrete, measurable outcomes.
Outstanding people leadership skills, with a history of building and motivating high-performing teams.
A deep commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Rewards and Benefits
This is a key leadership role with a compensation package that reflects its significance. We offer:
Outer London Leadership Pay Scale L21-L27 (£85,396 - £98,280), commensurate with experience and impact.
A comprehensive professional development program, including access to a network of trust leaders and specialists.
Generous annual leave and enhanced parental leave schemes.
Enrollment in the Teachers Pension Scheme (TPS).
A suite of benefits, including mental health support, discounted gym memberships, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
If you are an accomplished leader ready to take on a new challenge and make a lasting impact on an entire school community, we encourage you to apply.
