We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive QHSE & Statutory Compliance Manager to join our team in London. This is a crucial role where you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) compliance across a complex portfolio of sites. You will be the technical lead for all statutory compliance matters, ensuring that our operations are not only safe but also fully aligned with industry best practices.
Your Responsibilities
Compliance & Quality: Develop and maintain quality systems aligned with ISO 9001 and monitor all installation and commissioning processes to ensure compliance with design specifications. You will also use our CAFM and Compliance tracker to assist the operations team in maintaining statutory compliance across all areas.
Health & Safety: Implement and enforce robust safety procedures for high-risk activities, such as working with high voltage, in confined spaces, and hot works. You will lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations, ensuring full compliance with CDM Regulations and other HSE legislation.
Auditing & Reporting: Conduct regular inspections and audits on M&E systems and subcontractors. You will be responsible for maintaining all QHSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and audit reports, and will report on QHSE performance metrics.
Sustainability: Work closely with the client's sustainability team to assess the environmental impact of M&E operations, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and promoting sustainable practices.
Leadership: Foster a proactive safety culture among engineers, technicians, and subcontractors through tailored training and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Qualifications: A degree or proven experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or a related field), with a strong background in QHSE roles within the M&E sector.
Technical Expertise: You must have a full and comprehensive understanding of Statutory Compliance within Facilities Management, along with a strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and M&E systems.
Certification: A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate is required. You should also be familiar with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
Skills: We require excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
