ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate Healthcare Assistant to deliver high-quality, continuous physical care for a client residing in a rural West Cumbria location. This post focuses purely on clinical physical care, assisting individuals with mobility, nourishment, and health routines.
PAY & SHIFT STRUCTURE
- Standard Day Shift (10:00 - 22:00): £13.70 / hour
- Enhanced Day Shift (10:00 - 22:00): £15.69 / hour
- Night Shift (22:00 - 10:00): £18.72 / hour
- Sleep-In Shift: Available immediately following a 12-hour day shift
KEY DUTIES & CLINICAL TASKS
- PEG Nutritional Support: Safely managing enteral feeding routines according to individual care plans.
- Mobility & Transfers: Applying safe manual handling protocols to support client physical independence.
- Medication Care: Timely administration and recording of prescribed medications.
- Personal Care: Assisting with daily physical hygiene and comfort needs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Essential Skills: Prior practical experience in PEG feeding, manual handling, and medication administration.
- Transport: Active driver with access to personal transport (essential due to shift times and rural location).
- Availability: Flexible to work 12-hour day and/or night shifts.
*Occupational Requirement: Due to personal care needs in a home setting, this position is restricted to female applicants under Section 9, Part 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
