Requirements:
- HLTA Status (preferred) or a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification. A Level 3 Diploma with significant experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience working within an SEN setting (special school or resource provision).
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to get one.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities to whole classes or small groups in the absence of the teacher.
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions for students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Implement positive behaviour strategies and foster a calm, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Work closely with the SENCO and Class Teachers to adapt the curriculum for students with diverse learning requirements.
- Assess and record pupil progress, providing vital feedback to staff and parents during review meetings.
