What We're Looking For:
A minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience as a social worker, with significant experience in children's social care, particularly with looked after children.
Current and valid Social Work England registration is essential.
Proven ability to chair complex child protection and looked after children reviews, challenge effectively, and ensure that care plans genuinely meet children's needs and wishes.
A strong, independent voice for children, with an in-depth understanding of relevant legislation (e.g., Children Act 1989), statutory guidance, and court processes.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with children, families, social workers, and senior management.
